Vacation Bible School Cooks Up Some Fun!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make our Vacation Bible School a great success!  Kids cooked up a ton of fun with our theme as they learned about recipes for God’s love.

One of the most important things we did this week was collect funds to help feed street children in Kiev, Ukraine through one of our United Methodist Global Ministries.  Children brought in spare change and part of their own allowance to help ensure that all children are given enough to eat.  Our VBS kids were also encouraged to bring in canned goods and other non-perishable food items, to be donated to the Bloomingdale Township.

Together we learned that giving and learning about God’s love can be LOTS of fun!

All Church Advent Celebration!

More than 40 people joined together on Sunday, December 12 for a fun time of celebrating the Christmas Gifts That Don’t Break — hope, love, joy and peace!  We celebrated with songs, games, and service projects — including blankets made for veterans, cards to soldiers and even cookies decorated for the homebound!  Thank you to all who came and joined us for our potluck, our post-dinner carol sing and so much more!

An ALL-DAY Celebration of Children’s Sabbath!

Our Roselle UMC Kids had a BIG day on Sunday, October 10!  Not only did they help out during the 10:00 a.m. worship service, but they also used the money collected at the end of the service to go buy groceries for our local Bloomingdale Township Food Pantry!  Many thanks to all the kids (of all ages) who helped make Children’s Sabbath a truly meaningful day for everyone!
